Pudina Rice Recipe (Mint Pulao)

Pudina Rice (Mint Pulao) Recipe

Ingredients:




 Basmati Rice 1/2 cup

 Mint Leaves  1/2 cup(fresh)

 Coriander Leaves, chopped 1/2 cup

 Lemon Juice 1/2 teaspoon

 ginger(finely chopped )1/4 teaspoon

 Garlic 2 Cloves

 Cloves 2

 Cinnamon 1 small piece

 Bay Leaf

 Green Chilli1( finely chopped)

 Onion 1

 Salt to taste

 Oil or Ghee 2 tablespoon

 Water1 cup




METHOD:



Take basmathi rice ,wash it and soak them for 10 minutes,then boil it.


cook for 10to 15 minutes and turn off the stove.

now make a paste by adding fresh mint leaves,corianderleaves,ginger,garlic,lemonjuice in a grinder/mixer.

(note :Do not prepare this paste in advance otherwise it turns darker in color.)

Heat the oil in a  pan or kadai over medium flame.

 Add  bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon and sauté for few seconds.

Add finely chopped green chilli and sliced onion sauté until onion turns light brown.

Add mint paste which is preared and kept aside
Sauté it for 2-3 minutes.

now add cooked rice and salt.

Mix gently until each rice grain is evenly coated with the mint paste.

Cook for 2-3 minutes and turn off flame.

 take pudinarice  to serving bowl and garnish with  cashew nuts.

Serve this rice with  raitha in lunch or  dinner.
