INGREDIENTSLong Chillies- 10
Oil - to fry
preparation of stuff for mirchi bajji
Fried gram dal - 1 cup
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Ajwain/vamu - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - small gooseberry size
Salt & water - as required {mix all these ingredients and grind them to make a paste and keep this aside}
preparation of bajji batter:
Besan flour - 2 cups
Rice flour - 1/3 cup
Cooking soda - pinch
Red chilli powder - 1 or 2 tsp
Omma/vamu/Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
Salt & water - as required
Take a bowl and add besan ,rice flour,soda(cooking),redchillipowder, ajwain, salt and prepare batter by adding water.(make batter thick just like dosa batter ,maintain
consistency,make sure there are no lumps in the batter)
METHOD
Wash the chillies neatly and cut vertically
Remove the seeds completely and Keep it aside.
now stuff the chillies with the stuff kept prepared before
stuff all the chillies in the same way.
Next take a pan and heat oil to fry the stuffed chillies dipped in the bajji batter.
Deep fry the chilli both the sides until it turns to golden brown.
mix finely chopped onions, lemon juice and some salt(sprinkle) for topping
now serve the chilli bajji hot.
